Rediscovering Calamba Laguna

Jollibee’s Maaga ang Pasko kicks off at SM City Calamba

Our family ever since are supporting Jollibee’s sharing of toys especially now the Christmas season is here for gift giving. We do not only give toys that were used. Those toys that my kids shared were the best toys they had. The value of gift giving is more than enough we can teach to our children to set the meaning of Christmas spirit.

Even we transferred here in Calamba, we still continue the legacy to personally give it to Jollibee branch here in Crossing.

We were fortunate to witness the unveiling of again spreading hope and cheer with Jolibee last Saturday, Nov. 17 at SM Calamba’s Cyberzone in partnership with SM Supermalls.

Now on its 18th year “Maaga ang Pasko”, the country’s longest-running toy and book donation drive makes its stop in Calamba, calling on more Filipino families to join the Jolly Family Toy Scouts and touch the lives of children in need.

Since it started, the Jollibee Maaga ang Pasko campaign has spread the holiday cheer among thousands of children, collecting and distributing more than 1.8 million toys and books over the years.

From last year, there were over 300,000 books & toys collected with the help of 102 partner schools and 62 partner companies. Known collectively as the Jolly Toy Scouts, these volunteers gave less fortunate children a more memorable Christmas celebration.

There were batch of new schools and companies from the region, Jolly Family Toy Scouts, as well as Jollibee executives led by Jollibee Regional Business Unit Head for South Luzon Bambi Bejo who graced the said event.

According to Ms. Bambi, “There is no better way for families to bond during the Christmas season than by sharing their blessings and bringing joy to those who need it most. Through Maaga ang Pasko, we hope that families in Calamba will also make sharing a part of their Christmas family tradition”.

Activities include a variety of fun games and family-themed booths, plus a special magic show, were also set up at the launch, allowing participants and mall-goers to enjoy the time with their families while contributing to the campaign. To avail, all they had to do was present old or new toys and books in exchange for tickets to join in on the fun.

Anticipating more four other key cities scheduled within October and November, including Metro Manila, Bacolod, Tarlac and General Santos.

I still love to continue this tradition even my kids are already grown up. Actually, there were still toys around the house need to give and with my children’s permission, hopefully, we can contribute something to make this Christmas a worthy occasion.

Hope you can also spread Christmas cheer and become Jolly Family Toy Scouts now! Gather your old toys and books. You can drop them off in the Maaga ang Pasko boxes in any Jollibee store nationwide or at SM Calamba.
