Rediscovering Calamba Laguna

Taytay Falls at Majayjay Laguna

Here I go again, after my client meeting, love to explore Majayjay Laguna which is the fave destination of everyone, none other than the Taytay Falls.

Actually, one of the recommended place to visit here near Carayan Resort is to drop by to to see the falls.  Since it would be part of sharing my experiences how near it is, I would like to experience going to the place.

The owner of Carayan, Mr. Danny suggested to us it is better to go to Taytay Falls first hour in the morning and to also experience buying fresh vegetables at the area. Still even afterlunch, we still insisted to visit the place.

From Carayan Resort which is almost on the ark of Majayjay, we took almost 30 minutes to reach the place where we have to registered to Taytay Barangay Hall.

We paid P 20.00 for each person.

From the falls itself, we have to trek down to reach the place that reach us almost 15 minutes walking.     Along the way, we took our pictures making funny antics just to make it a fun walk.

Great that the way going down to the falls is cemented and had this iron fence along the way.

As we get nearer to the falls, we hear already the splash sound of the water and the clear flowing of water on the side of our way. Now, we are really excited!

We go first to the stairs reaching to the hanging bridge.

We see below the majestic view of the water falling from the falls.

When we go down, I came rushing to sit one of the stones near the falls even I have my last shorts with me.

The same also with Jam. She just folded her pants knowing that this is also her last pair.

What we really plan were to get only the pictures, be mesmerized with the place and then go. But we cannot resist! Even there were no bathrooms around to change our clothes, still we look for a secluded area where we can dressed up.

Definitely, we splunge even the water came from the falls is sooo damn cold!

We even saw a bottle of Coke right beside the stone to make it cold. We enjoyed the splash of the water beside the falls.

The grotto is located when crosses over the other side of the falls.

Ruel did not bring clothes to wear on even we felt he love also to be with us.

Truly, this is one great experience will never forget, exploring this nature place here in Laguna.

We will be going back here together with my two teenage kids. Jam is already planning and asking our permission to bring the tent once we decided to come over again just like those who are staying here.

It is truly an adventure. But if you will ask me, we will be coming here in the morning and stay until afternoon.

There are no lights along the area, nor a comfort room to bath or even take a place for a pee.

Yes, there are people in barangay where we registered. Security wise, going down for help would took 15 to 20 minutes away from them, not so safe though…

One will really take the risk and have to bring everything down if one is planning for a camping.

Hopefully, for those who will visit it, will give really time to clean their area and bring their garbage up to preserve the cleanliness and serenity of the nature.

How to go here:

From Majayjay, take a jeep going to Lucban

Instruct the jeepney driver to take you the road going to Taytay Falls.

There is a signage going to Taytay Falls.  You can wait for a tricycle that will go up from the barangay.

I suddenly missed the super cold water of the Majayjay Falls, especially now that Summer is starting to kick in.
Makes me want to go back for an overnight camping gig.

we’ve been here twice already, overnight stay on a tent, at that time the hanging bridge is still under construction… Are there cottages already for overnight stay across the bridge (on the other side of the camping area)…
The barangay tanods are making a round tour and there is a designated person to watch over if you intend to do an overnight camping, coz its the most beautiful part of the camping. The only problem is its hard to sleep on a hard flooring…
I would love to come back here over and over again…
Will someone please email me on my gmail if there are cottages for rent already across that hanging bridge?
    Thank you.

    Hi,

The place looks nice and amazingly unbelievable that there is such a place like this in Laguna. I was left in awe indeed.

Can some please tell me the security condition especially if I bring with me a car. My apologies for being negative, but is the place really safe for NPA’s?

    Thanks po.
